- add the properties mentioned above to: iReport->Tools->Options->JasperReports Properties
- compile a report (it will be successfully compiled the first time)
- open a different report or restart iReport application
- sooner or later it will delete those properties from the ireport.properties file

I think I'll rewrite the whole support for JasperReports properties. I don't like how it works now. Unfortunately there are some limitations on the JasperReports side (properties can only be added, but not removed, so in certain situation I have to reload a backup, which probably is the cause of your problem). I'll ask Teodor (JasperReports team) to improve the properties handling to help the iReport side to do a better job.
