I had the same problem with this.

The core problem for me was down to running Jaspersoft from the incorrect executable.

I was using JETL-win32-wpf.exe as opposed to JETL-win32-x86.exe

On using the correct executable, the Check Box was available and working fine.

I suggest taking the Database Administration Certificate program through O`Reilly's certificate program (http://www.oreillyschool.com/certificates/) since it provides all the fundamentals with implementing OLAP using JapserETL. If that not an option or in the budget, I can set it up for you for a small fee.

Ok, I already fixed that. I went to the Job tab -> Extra subtab and clicked the "Multi thread execution" check box. What's more, I discovered how to set this option at job creation, from now on, by clicking the checkbox at Windows -> Preferences -> Talend.

Are you running ETL jobs from command line and asking if you can pass in passwords as parameters for any database you connect to etc??

Do you have to doing anything special to install the Perl Modules? I downloaded them from CPAN via command line, but the modules still show as being not installed. See attached.

Try a newer version, perhaps Talend Open Studio 4.2.3 which IS JasperETL (wish I understood the commercial relationship there...)

Nevermind, I figured it out. I guess I needed to set the Perl Active State perl path. The default is in Jasper.
